The Seacoast Human Resources Association (SHRA) welcomes all Human Resources Professionals and those involved supporting the HR field to join our growing organization and enjoy all the benefits of membership.
Our primary mission is to enhance the professional growth of our members by advancing the skills and competencies in the field of Human Resources through seminars, workshops, personal contacts and networking.

How to Join & Renew

EFFECTIVE APRIL 13TH - Joining our chapter is easy. Click "JOIN BOTH" above to be directed to the SHRM store to sign up for a membership. Existing SHRM members can simply add the chapter membership to their shopping card. New SHRM members will need to purchase SHRM and chapter membership jointly.
Once your membership is processed by our Membership Committee, you will be contacted by someone from the community to be assigned a new member buddy.
To renew your chapter membership, login to your SHRM account and renew your chapter and SHRM membership.
NOTE: Chapter membership expires at the same time as your current SHRM membership, regardless of enrollment date. Any applicable chapter dues will be prorated based on the months remaining on your current SHRM membership. Our chapter is enrolled in the dual membership process with SHRM, which means you must also be a member of the national SHRM organization to be a chapter member.
CHAPTER MEMBERSHIP BENEFITS AND COST
Membership with SHRA is an investment in your career for many reasons. SHRA provides a forum for access to and exchange of information, promotes the development and application of proactive Human Resources concepts, and creates a better understanding for the general public of the importance and function of Human Resources roles.
As a member of our SHRM affiliated chapter, you will be involved in a professional network that offers many benefits including:
- Networking with a diverse and knowledgeable group of HR professionals.
- Ten monthly meetings where dynamic leaders in the field of Human Resources provide current relevant information that will keep you up-to-date on a variety of topics. Meetings are held each month except for July and August.
- Continuing education credits for SHRM & HRCI opportunities at our monthly meetings.
- Access to SHRA Scholarships for continued professional development or furthering educaition.
- Access to the “Members Only” section of our website which includes full member listing and contact information of our member Human Resource Professionals as well as access to past program materials.
- Developing professional and leadership skills through participation on a SHRA committee. You can also earn re-certification credit hours for participation on our committees.
- Representation for all employers in the Seacoast area through political and legislative advocacy.
- Membership reciprocity with the five other NH SHRM affiliated chapters: HR Association of Greater Concord, Greater Monadnock SHRM, Manchester Area HR Association, Greater Nashua HR Association, and Greater Merrimack Valley HR Association. All NH SHRM affiliated chapter members can attend a chapter meeting at the listed Member price instead of the Non-Member price.
COST OF MEMBERSHIP
Membership in SHRA is on an individual basis, not by company, and is not transferable to other individuals.
The categories of membership and associated annual fees are:
- 1-Year Membership: $65
- 2-Year Membership: $117 (10% discount)
- 3-Year Membership: $156 (20% discount)
SPECIAL CHAPTER MEMBERSHIP DISCOUNTS
Please contact shranhcommunications@gmail.com to get a special coupon code for these discounts. The coupon is towards the local chapter membership only and does not apply for the national SHRM membership.
- Student 1-Year Membership: $25
Students actively pursuing a degree or concentration in human resources management. Student members do not have voting rights and may not hold office in the chapter.
- HR Members in Transition: Free
Individuals who have been employed in the human resources profession but are currently unemployed or underemployed in another capacity while searching for an HR position. Members in Transition have voting rights and may hold office in the chapter provided they are members of SHRM.

- Members (In-Person and Virtual): $25

Prepaid Monthly Meeting Fees
Our chapter hosts 10 meetings per year - no meetings July & August. To purchase prepaid meetings for the year, reach out to shranhtreasurer@gmail.com to be invoiced for all 10 meetings and receive 1 free, billed at the following rates:
- Members: $225
- Non-Members: $405
Meeting Guest Passes
Each Member receives two free Guest Passes per year. The guest will need to register for the program and list the member whose guest they are in their registration form.
